Costa Rica Trip 6-24-2019

Casa Lima Breakfast and Bed

These pictures are from the Casa Lima Bed and Breakfast Hotel in San Jose, Costa Rica where we stayed while we were there.  It is a beautiful place with a build-in jungle as you can see from the pictures.  It has a small Lobby, a small Restaurant, a small bar and of course the Jungle Area with a Water Falls, Fish Pond with lots of fish and turtles, a small bridge to cross over the Fish Pond and to get a look at the Water Falls, three large Bird Cages and more.  The whole hotel is setup in a very unique way with all the wall decorations and more.

Restaurante La Casona Del Cafetal, Orosi Valley in Cartago, Costa Rica

The Restaurante La Casona Del Cafetal was opened in 1994 and is located in the Cachi Vally and ajacent to the well-known Orosi Vally.  The view between coffee plantations and spectacular views of the Cachí lake and Irazú and Turrialba volcanos is absolutely beauitful.  This was one of our stops during our trip to Costa Rica and the food was really good.  The view of the lake and the coffee plants was outstanding.  There were some trails that you could walk in the jungle and down to the lake which to me looked like a river.  Anyway it was well worth the trip.

Orosi Church, Cartago, Costa Rica

Just about 35 kilometers or 22 miles away from San Jose, Orosi is a tranquil and serene community in the province of Cartago. While somewhat undiscovered by travelers, Orosi features an incredibly peaceful setting among the lush forest and towering pine trees. Visitors who are traveling to Costa Rica to escape the hectic hustle and bustle of daily life will love the seclusion of the Orosi Valley. This hidden gem is truly one of Costa Rica's finest, and it has actually been a beloved spot in the country for centuries due to its ideal soil conditions and perfect climate. This is why Orosi Valley is home to some of the most delicious coffee in Costa Rica. This is the home of the Orosi Church, Cartago in the town of Orosi, Costa Rica.

Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio Park, Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica

With the establishment of Manuel Antonio National Park in 1972, the people of Costa Rica decided to preserve, for future generations, one of the most beautiful and bio-diverse areas in the world. Although it is the country’s smallest national park, the stunning beauty and diversity of wildlife in its 683 hectares is unequaled.

Manuel Antonio contains a charming combination of rain forest, beaches and coral reefs. These beaches are the most beautiful in the country, lined with lush forest, and the snorkeling is excellent, too. The forest is home for sloths, iguanas, the rare and adorable squirrel monkeys, white face monkeys and millions of colorful little crabs. The trail that winds around Punta Catedral features some spectacular views. The park is easy to reach, south of the town of Quepos, and is near a good selection of hotels and restaurants.

Visiting the park, one is treated to an abundant diversity of wildlife. Cathedral Point, with its forest topped cliffs was once an island, but is now connected to the coast by a thin strip of island. This land bridge now forms the spine separating the parks two most popular beaches, Playa Espadilla Sur and Playa Manuel Antonio. The southern facing beach, Playa Manuel Antonio, is a picturesque half mile long, white sand crescent bisecting deep green foliage to one side and a private, secluded cove to the other.

Standing with your feet dug into the sand and watching the wave crash against the rocks on either side of the lagoon, it is easy to believe that you are a thousand miles from anywhere.
